Project Description
My training includes regular short (2-3 day) workshops on various topics. The most frequently presented material is on demand management, Demand Driven Planning, S&OP and forecasting. WMS Pre-sales support (2011 - 2012)
Project Objective: To analyse and build business cases in support of the sales process
Project Description:
For a year, I was involved with a company who sells and implements warehouse management software. During this time, I was extensively involved in assisting sales with business cases for the software. A typical engagement would be to visit a site, get some key statistics on the business and calculate some savings that would be possible by implementing more effective systems. I was not very involved in the system side, but assisted on the business principles and efficiency of operations and marrying the system specifications with the business requirements. This was as very challenging role, as each site was different and I really had to use my integrated knowledge of efficiency and processes to find the savings in these situations. I had to draw process diagrams and suggest actions for business process re-engineering as well as cost savings derived from those changes. Some clients that I was involved with, were Avroy Shlain, Lancewood Cheese, Vermont Sales, Sensory FX and USABCO.
Role Description
My role in this project was that of data gathering and analysis. I visited sites and built business cases to identify savings for potential clients. I was involved in some of the initial stages of implementation too, in order to hand over to the implementation team

Omnia Demand Management improvement project (2009-2011)
Project Objectives
To educate the demand management side of the business
To help decide on the most appropriate demand management software
To facilitate the implementation of S&OP in Protea Chemicals and BME businesses.
Project Description
This was a long engagement that stretched over two years. It started off as a company-wide drive to get everyone speaking the same language through workshops and upskilling of employees in the areas of demand planning and S&OP. I then continued to guide and mentor some of the key employees into getting the processes embedded. Unfortunately, as it goes when you empower and train people, they get offers of new positions and promotions and we ended up with quite a few people leaving and new ones starting in this time. The planning system was also reviewed in this time and proposals from new vendors assessed.
Role Description
My role in this project was that of advisor and facilitator.
